HP EliteBook kISO: Installation Information

This site provides bootable kISO media with an update kernel required to install SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 11 SP1 on the systems listed below.
This kISO will also install following kernel module package to fix an issue with the LCD backlight staying off after resume from suspend:
novell-video-kmp version 20100811_2.6.32.12_0.7-1
This kISO is tested and supported for use with the following HP products:
- HP EliteBook 2540p
- HP EliteBook 2740p
- HP EliteBook 8440p

kISO installation source
Please download the appropriate ISO image below, burn it to an empty CD media and start the installation using that media. During installation, an updated kernel will be used and installed onto the system. This media only boots the hardware and kicks off the installation. Once booted, it will prompt for Disk 1 of the SUSE Linux Enterprise installation media to complete the installation.
